Connectors
Works inside the tools you already use.
Each connector is purpose-built for its tool. Here is what Friday does in each one.
Plus your own systems, built with us.
How we test
Every capability here has an eval behind it.
We run experiments on real workflows. Friday goes into a test environment with the same tools you use and has to do the job end to end. When it does not pass, we change it and run it again. The model is not perfect, so Friday shows its work and waits for your okay on the consequential writes.
- Tested against the live tool
- Writes previewed, then approved by you
- Results come with their sources
Docs
Author and revise documents in place, with edits previewed before they land. Open any Doc in Friday's viewer with the chat docked beside it.
- Create formatted docs: headings, tables, sections, tabs
- Rewrite one section without touching the rest, previewed first
- Read, outline, and quote an existing document, tab by tab
- Export as HTML for a wiki, or plain text for the record
Sheets
Read, query, and update spreadsheets. Every cell change is staged and previewed before it's applied, then verified afterward.
- Query the data with SQL to answer a question
- Preview and apply cell edits; check rows against a source; undo
- Add data validation and conditional formatting
- Open any workbook as an app: grid, sort, filter, live tables, charts
Slides
Read a deck in place, with its speaker notes, and stage changes on your template. Review a rendered comparison of every changed slide before you apply.
- Build slides from a template and preview them as rendered thumbnails
- Edit one slide in a large deck without touching the others
- Copy a template and customize it for a market or client
- Apply, verify against the live deck, and undo if it isn't right
Drive
Find files, read what's inside them, and put results back where they belong. Sharing changes are previewed too.
- Search Drive by name and map your working folder
- Read images and PDFs, page by page, screenshots included
- Copy, move, import, or trash a file; reply to and resolve comments
- Preview a sharing change, apply it, and verify it
Gmail
Search, read, and triage mail, including the attachments and screenshots inside it. Replies are drafted, and nothing is sent without you. Open your inbox as an app with Friday in the margin.
- Search with full Gmail syntax; read a message or a whole thread
- Read inline images, PDFs, and text attachments, even several in one thread
- Draft a reply for you to review; send only after you approve
- Label, archive, and tidy up across more than one connected account
Calendar
Read your week, find time, and hold it. Open Calendar as an app: a two-week agenda, a month grid, and the join button for the call.
- List calendars and read events across connected accounts
- Check free/busy and propose times that work
- Create holds, and update or cancel events, with your okay
- Join the video call straight from the agenda
Slack
Friday reads the channels you point it at, answers where the team already is, and tells you when a run needs you.
- Mention
@Fridayto start work in any conversation, even a self-DM - Read channels and threads, images included; search messages
- Get a DM with a link back when a chat or run needs you
- Post as you, from your own token, only when you ask it to
Zoom
Friday reads meetings, recordings, and transcripts through Zoom's official integration.
- Read meetings, recordings, transcripts, and AI Companion summaries with their next steps
- Paste a recording share link and its passcode to get the transcript
- Search Team Chat; read Canvas and My Notes
- Turn a call into a recap doc with links back to the moments that matter
GitHub
Repositories, issues, pull requests, and Actions, on one or more connected accounts. Bounded coding work can be handed to a desktop runner, and it comes back as a pull request. Nothing merges without you.
- Read repos, issues, pull requests, workflows, and releases
- Comment, open, and update issues and pull requests
- Inspect and re-run Actions; read the logs
- Send a bounded task to a desktop runner; review the pull request it returns
Bitly
Short links for campaigns and partner handoffs, with the click counts read back into your tracker.
- Shorten a link, or a whole column of them, and set a custom back-half
- Change where an existing short link points
- Read clicks per link and pull them into a Sheet
- List groups and check the account status
Your own systems
Not on the list? We can build it with you.
For the internal database, the vendor portal, or the tracker that is really a CRM, a connector is built the same way as the ones above: tested against the live tool, with writes previewed. Connectors built this way so far include Instagram, CreatorIQ, and Dash Social, for a marketing team's creator programs. When the work needs more than a connector, we build the app on top.
How custom builds workStart with the workflow that costs you the most time.
Bring one that crosses two of these tools.
