Scope

This policy applies to Friday.land's public site, the Friday app, demo requests, invite flows, Google sign-in, and connected Google Workspace, Gmail, and Calendar features. Friday is an early work operating system for keeping projects, context, and delegated work easier to inspect.

Data we collect

We collect account identity data such as your email address, name, profile image, Google account subject identifier, organization membership, invite status, and session metadata.

We collect the work data you provide or connect to Friday. That can include chats, prompts, project notes, files, document excerpts, spreadsheet data, presentation data, tool outputs, and metadata needed to show what happened and where a result came from.

We collect operational data such as request logs, device and browser information, IP address, error traces, security events, and timestamps. If you request a demo or contact us, we collect the details you submit so we can respond.

Google user data

Friday uses Google sign-in to authenticate users. The sign-in flow requests the minimum identity information needed to create and secure an account, including your Google email address and account identifier.

When you choose to connect Google Workspace, Friday asks for the Google permissions needed for the selected feature. For the current Workspace connector, Friday can search, list, read, and process Google Drive files, folders, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and metadata that are visible to the connected Google account. Friday keeps Drive write access narrower: it can write to Friday-created files, the Friday Drive home folder, or files you explicitly select or pin for Friday.

When you choose to connect Gmail, Friday can search, read, process, draft, send, label, archive, and move mail to trash for the connected Gmail account. Friday does not request the mail.google.com scope and does not permanently delete Gmail messages. When you choose to connect Google Calendar, Friday can list calendars, read events, query free/busy information, create holds or events, update events, and cancel or delete events on calendars where the connected account has permission.

Friday uses Google user data to provide and improve user-facing Friday features. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers, or use it to determine creditworthiness. Humans do not read connected Google file, email, or calendar content unless you ask us to help with specific content, it is necessary for security or abuse investigation, it is required by law, or it is aggregated for internal operations.

Friday's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use data

We use data to operate Friday, authenticate users, enforce access boundaries, show project and chat state, run requested workflows, maintain audit trails, send operational email, respond to support and demo requests, improve reliability, and protect the service.

We may use aggregated or de-identified data to understand product health and improve the user experience. We do not use connected Google Workspace, Gmail, or Calendar content to train a general model.

How we share data

We share data with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, and send messages for Friday. These providers may include cloud infrastructure, AI model providers used for requested workflows, email delivery, logging, and error-reporting services. They are allowed to process data only for the services they provide to Friday.

We may share data inside your Friday organization according to the product permissions and workflows you use. We may also share data when you direct us to, when required by law, when needed to protect Friday or others, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice.

Your choices

You can choose not to connect Google Workspace, Gmail, or Calendar, and you can revoke Friday's Google access from your Google Account settings. Some Friday features will not work without the permissions needed for those features.

You can ask us to export, correct, or delete your personal data. We may retain records when needed for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or legitimate internal operations.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, encrypted token storage, audit-friendly records, and operational safeguards to protect data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please contact us quickly if you believe your account or workspace data has been exposed.

Contact

Friday is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data or personal data, we will provide notice before applying the new practice.
