Before you start
You need a Friday account and a Zoom account. Each person connects their own Zoom account. Your Zoom admin may need to allow Friday for your Zoom account first.
Add Friday to Zoom
- In Friday, open Settings, then Connectors, then Zoom.
- Choose Connect Zoom and sign in to Zoom.
- Review what Friday asks to read and choose Allow.
Friday asks only to read:
- search results for your meetings and AI Companion content
- meeting summaries, notes and other meeting assets
- your cloud recordings list and recording content such as transcripts
- Zoom Docs you can open, as an export
Use Friday with Zoom
- "What did we commit to on Tuesday's client call?"
- "Turn yesterday's planning meeting into a recap doc."
- Paste a recording share link and its passcode to get the transcript.
Friday is read-only in Zoom. It does not download audio or video, and it never creates, changes or deletes anything in your Zoom account. Friday does not use Zoom data to train AI models.
Friday uses AI models to read, draft and act. It can make mistakes, so check important results before you rely on them. Friday shows its sources and asks before it sends or shares anything for you.
Remove Friday
In Friday
Open Settings, then Connectors, then Zoom, open the menu and choose Disconnect. Friday asks Zoom to revoke its access and deletes the tokens it stored.
In Zoom
Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage, then Added Apps, find Friday and choose Remove. Zoom revokes Friday's access right away. Friday deletes the Zoom tokens it stored no later than the next time it tries to renew its Zoom access, and Settings asks you to reconnect.
After you remove Friday in Zoom, Friday can no longer read your Zoom meetings, recordings or transcripts, and requests that need Zoom fail until you reconnect. To delete the tokens Friday stored right away, also choose Disconnect in Friday.
What happens to your data
- When you remove Friday in Zoom, Zoom revokes Friday's tokens so they no longer work. Friday deletes its stored copy no later than the next time it tries to renew its Zoom access. Disconnecting in Friday, or an admin erasing your data, deletes it right away.
- Large results Friday saved while working, including Zoom transcripts, are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Answers and recaps already in your Friday chats stay in your workspace until you delete them or an admin erases them.
- Nothing in your Zoom account is changed or deleted.
